ABOUT GASSAN KHUNTAN GOLF AND RESORT

Gassan Khuntan Golf and Resort lies approximately one hour away from the city center of Chiang Mai and is located in Lamphun in a rather isolated area of the foothills with no large towns or villages nearby. While the golf resort is quite nice, the isolation and rather long drive to Chiang Mai will discourage some golfers looking to take a golf holiday in Thailand and also experience some night life and shopping. The layout of the 18-hole golf course consists of two rather distinct 9s, one with an extremely good flow and the other with an amazing amount of blind shots whereby on your first round you are totally dependent upon your Thai caddie to aim where she suggests.The golf course layout is a tough test of of golf skill and features the majority of holes with a water hazard or two. The club house is good as are the accommodations.
