Thailand enjoys a tropical climate with various seasons ranging from the generally hotter  March to June period, followed by the intermident rainy period of July to October and then the cooler November to February period. Temperatures in Thailand range from 35 oC in April to 20 oC in December. The climate in Northern Thailand is much cooler than the Central Plains and the South.

What time of year and day can I play golf in Thailand?
Play is possible almost any time of the year, even in the rainy parts of the year when downpours are usually short-lived and rarely bring a game to a complete halt. Thailand is blessed with an average of 12 hours of daylight throughout the year, from 6.30 am to 6.30 pm. As the temperature is cooler in the morning and late afternoon, it is popular to tee-off early or late in the day, avoiding the strong midday sun.

Where can I play golf in Thailand?
Most good golf courses in Thailand are private but welcome visiting players. There are no entry restrictions on the majority of courses however some limit tee off times for visitors.

Is Thailand in-expensive to play golf?
Green fees in Thailand, even on weekends, are reasonable. Green fees in Phuket, Koh  Samui and at top world class clubs are generally higher than other places in Thailand. However, the very top courses are still less than one would expect to pay at a resort course in other parts of the World.

Do all golf courses in Thailand have caddies?

Caddies are one of the more enjoyable aspects of the Thai golf experience and mandatory at all courses. Your smiling, helpful caddie will likely be able to communicate with you in some limited English capacity. Tipping is expected and appreciated and generally in the 300 Baht range per caddie per round.  Additional caddies are available for hire for carrying your chair or holding an umbrella to keep you out of the sun.
